Hidi Fankhauser launched Design Works to offer development services to brands in sportswear. Hidi's strong background in apparel allows her team to support brands in building their creations from inception to production. Design Works integrates 3D technology into their proven development process. The addition of 3D positively effects reducing samples and timelines while improving communication with their production partners. For Design Works, 3D is the best vehicle to make an impact on lead time and sustainability.For downtime, Hidi enjoys cooking and sewing for fun. With both of these, she most enjoys teaching these skills to her children. She also loves to ski with the family as it is quickly becoming the family’s favorite sport.

Christl Schad
Christl is a seasoned product developer at Design Works and has a love for bringing product concepts to life. She started off her career making and selling handmade clothing to local boutiques in the 90's and then decided to pursue a full-fledged career in the apparel industry. Starting off in design and moving
into product development and production, she has a strong background in technical design, materials development, and sourcing. Having worked in a variety of specialty apparel market segments, she enjoys helping brands succeed with their product visions.
In her downtime, she enjoys a myriad of hobbies including collecting vintage wares, live music, traveling, arts and crafts, camping, skiing, and skating.

Heidi Lawson
Heidi has been blessed to have a fulfilling and dynamic career in technical design and development, beginning her journey at Patagonia in California. She has contributed to a diverse array of companies, ranging from domestic brands with their own manufacturing to corporate development groups with a global sourcing footprint. Throughout her career, Heidi has excelled in roles across design, patternmaking, technical design, product development, sourcing, social compliance, quality assurance and leadership. She embraces new challenges and brings calm to high-stress situations. Heidi's work is characterized by high professional standards, meticulous attention to detail, and precision in communication.In addition to her professional pursuits, Heidi teaches sewing to local 4-H youth and cherishes the majestic nature of Wyoming with her family.

She has held key roles at The North Face, Topo Designs, and Spyder Active Sports, working across diverse product categories. Her expertise spans the full product lifecycle, with a focus on fit, construction, sourcing, and cost efficiency. Caitlyn is known for her analytical approach, leadership, and ability to align products with brand and market expectations.In addition to her professional work, Caitlyn is a proud mom of two young children. She works from home while also caring for her family full-time, bringing balance, adaptability, and heart to both her career and home life.
